Folly of war

What you see in this blog are impressions, reflections, and historical events from my journey. I work with analog photography. The final photos will follow later.

Years ago at school of art, long before I changed to photography, I enjoyed designing a ‘folly’. A building without a function, as a play or peculiar object, a rarity in a garden or park. Now, in my phantastic Cicerone book, they write about the ‘folly of war’. Well, another side of this word, foolishness, madness, etc. And it becomes even more “folly-ness” if you look to this strange bizar composition of rocks. Another landscape wittnesses an incredible battle.
Walking around there nowadays it looks almost like an amusement park with restored trenches, huts, observation points complete with soldier figures in uniform.

Walked a few hours to reach the place (the chairlift is for tourist, stupid photographers carrying a tripod and analogue camera walk), tired and the use of some imagination I made two pictures. One of a big collapsed tower. (and as usual here you see the phone-pics, analogue will be shown much later).

Waiting till ‘cinque torri’ appears.
