Monte Lagozuoi, 2,762 m. Walked the Kaiserjäger path yesterday. A steep track, challenging despite / thanks to steel cables and steel steps that have been installed.

The German word “Kaiser” means emperor, “Jäger” signifies hunter.

The Italians  built tunnels under the Austro-Hungarian lines. Deep darkness on high ground.
